Food Allergy Mom

puffyD, my sweet little 6 year old son, had a severe allergic reaction to peanuts when he was around 15 months old.  After that trip to the ER, we had him tested and discovered that he is also severely allergic to eggs.

Over the last several years, I have learned a lot about how it all works, how to spot someone who doesn’t ‘get it’ and tricks to make life a little easier.

I hope my experiences, shared in this section of The Tru Story, will help those that are struggling.   It’s not easy, but it does become second nature after a while.  We do what we do because we desperately want to keep our kids safe just like any other parent.  We just have a tougher road than most.
